Animal Kingdom — NEET MCQs with answers
Over a million species of animals have been described, so classification is needed; it also helps assign a systematic position to newly described species. Animals are classified on fundamental features such as levels of organisation, symmetry, germinal layers, coelom, segmentation and notochord. The chapter then describes the phyla from Porifera to Chordata with the distinctive features of each.
